The Milford-based Subway restaurant chain has made a commitment to become more environmentally friendly. With the collaboration of the U.S. Green Building Council, the first Subway Eco-Store opened in Kissimmee, Fla. The company is also taking a number of packing initiatives, which includes using paper napkins made from 100 percent recycled materials, of which 60 percent are post consumer recyclables.
